Everything has a shelf life and of course much depends on storage conditions. As far as the strings are concerned though, I think their life will far exceed your need. Some of mine are over 10 years old (kept on my bike) and still as good as new  :028:

You can build the repair with more than one plug. I repaired one the other day where a glass or metal shard had caused a puncture. One plug stopped a lot of the air but I had to insert another one alongside and that cured it. I think the info is on a video on the Dyna plug web site where it shows building more than one  plug to effect a repair. Used them quite a few times now and so easy to use. Great bits of kit.
