So given that 4 stout scaffolders can carry your bike away if it's not chained down, and a battery operated angle grinder can cut through a chain,  short of a big dog, or an alligator pit in your top box,  what are the best ways to secure your bike?  :084:

I think it's just a case of making it harder to steal than alternatives. If there are similar bikes nearby with no security, and yours has some security, the others are probably an easier target.

I wonder how much difference where it's parked makes? E.g. in view of CCTV, in a manned car park, etc vs an alley with no through traffic.

True. But I have signs in front of my house saying I have adt (alarm).  I actually do but Same difference. Maybe it help maybe it don't.

It's the old adage about putting your running shoes on to run away from the tiger (pun absolutely intended). You don't have to run faster than the tiger,  just faster than the person with you.

If you have a LoJack sticker and the bike next to you doesn't....
