First look, Battery terminals. Loose wires, bad connections. Dirt, corrosion.

Second look, starting solenoid. Loose wires, dirt moisture, corrosion. This was my issue.
Wires rattled loose and got dusted= bad, intermittent connection.

The starting solenoid is directly behind the coolant reservoir. You need to remove some fairings and the reservoir itself to get a good inspection. About 35 mins work the first time you do it.

I've struggled with intermittent starting
(electrical) issues on my 2013 TEX. For a month or so it was infuriating. Sometimes it would start right up. Sometimes, nothing. All the lights and fuel pump kicked on fine but hit the red button and nothing. It ended up not being in the button at all.

On my Tiger 1050, the clutch safety switch is a known culprit.  It comes apart quite easily for a quick cleaning.  It's a simple plunger that connects with copper contacts so it's somewhat susceptible to corrosion. Next in order of checking (after battery terminals and clutch switch, would be the side stand switch.
