Cornwall here we come......
« on: December 04, 2017, 12:50:29 PM »
Just wondering any Tex riders down the west country can recommend a few biker friendly cafes and meeting points in Cornwall, we are moving down there after Christmas and will be looking to take the Tex out for a few runs, so good recommendations would be gratefully received.

The Chequered Flag whcih is on the A38 just before Liskeard, it's on the left if heading west (coming from the Plymouth direction)
very biker friendly !!

What part of Cornwall are you moving to?

It's a big place.

Agree with Bloodboy, the Chequered Flag is good, but not open every day.

The A39 is a good TEX road.

Thanks for the info, we are moving to a small development about 5 miles from St Austell, near Victoria. So about 5 min's from the A30.
Its a sort of home coming, having spent my younger days in Mawgan Porth and Mount.

Sounds good! I wish you a smooth and painless move.

I don't know the south of the county too well, but regularly bike to the north coast, often to Polzeath. Have a surf, a pasty, and ride home to Totnes.

Let us know what biker-friendly places you find in the south.

Will do, looking forward to riding down there, only ever driven around the area, wondering about dealing with the acute angle of the road at Mawgan Porth, great beach and friendly pubs.
Will report back when we move............Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz solicitors, don't you just love the fee's but not the speed they work at? :084:

Thanks Redmurle, hopefully will make it over there, we nearly brought a place near Liskeard, until we found loads of issues with the house.
Anyway thanks one and all, maybe see some of you next year? :305:
