Puig touring screen
« on: February 02, 2018, 06:43:25 PM »
Anyone here got one, I think I need a slightly taller screen than standard, wider too would be a bonus. Not prepared to pay £250 for the Triumph touring screen though.
Any views on a suitable screen appreciated.

For what it's worth, I went through the same process on my XRX and ended up reluctantly buying the Triumph tall screen. The OEM will at least have some value on a trade-in later while any aftermarket add-ons will be effectively worthless.

PS the tall screen does actually work, at least for me. It removed substantially all the buffeting and I can ride with either open or full face in comfort now up to 3 figure speeds. I'm 6'2".

Ok, I test rode a bike that had the Triumph touring screen and it was perfect, but my XRX obviously has the standard and I find it just not quite. Maybe I’ll just bite the bullet and spend the money on the triumph one.

Cheers

Touring screen + Batzen bracket worked wonders on my Gen 1 TEX  :028:

Word of warning, ordered the Puig off Motea on eBay with free delivery from Germany, delivered by ups. On arrival, Screen broken nearly in half. In process of getting my money back.

Got mine last week! Also from Motea. Arrived very fast from Germany and in one piece! I was surprised how big it is! Much bigger than the standard issue. So it’s on the lowest setting for now until I get used to it. So far though I’ve been very impressed riding around with my visor up no problem! Great price too at £77!

Still on my Mk1.5 ('14 ;-), but in the wake of receiving a new XRT in May, so just wondering how buffetingless the touring screen could be (I have the ultimate buffeting detector: Schuberth E1). If it doesn't fit my (somewhat excessive) standards, I'd be intested in reports from Puig users.

For anyone that’s thinking of getting the puig touring screen, but wasn’t sure of the size difference. Here’s a photo of the standard triumph screen against the Puig...............it’s huuuge :027:
