Running with the stock tyres on mine and they are great, no issues whatsoever wet or dry even flat out pegs down round the IOM. How someone who rides at 30% of the tyres potential say they don't inspire is beyond me, I see these people every day going round corners like its a hexagon lol.

Hi All

I'm on my 3rd Explorer now. On bikes 1 & 2 I wore the OEM tyres out and then changed them to Pilot Roads. However on bike No3 the Nexts were making so much noise they had to go early!

Had a nice shiny pair of PR4s fitted this morning.

Mine were noisy at first but now ive over 7000km on them,
and that road noise is gone thankfully.

Maybe this is why I have no complaints with my new '15 tires.
I can't help but wonder if the older tires are just better for whatever reason.
My single largest gain was proper suspension set up. I'm always surprised to learn most don't touch settings after they take possession.

I was checking out my rear tire Saturday (scorpion Trail 2) with just over 5000 miles on and thinking to myself "This tire looks good for another 2000 miles."

30 minutes later, the TPMS goes off, and sure enough, I picked up something in the road and now I have flat tire #3 of the season.  :232:

I couldn't plug the hole with my mushroom plug kit (I don't think the tool would go in fire enough to get the mushroom head to get past the interior of the tire) and was luckily at a gas station that sold the string kits.  So now I will be carrying both types in my kit.

New tire gets installed tomorrow.  Just in time for winter.   :003:

Unbelievable to have 3 punctured rear tires in 1 riding season.  All within 6000 miles.  At least this one was near the end of the tire's life.

aw man. that's just bad mojo. that sucks! I have the tyre insurance for those cases - ease up the pain somehow, a bit.  :821:

This is my experience with the Tourance Next OEM tire. 6200 miles and the rubber started peeling off the front. Peeling was even all around both sides of center. I wouldn't recommend the Tourance Next. Replaced a couple of weeks ago with Anakee III's.

Welcome to the forum, and good for you.  :015:
I hope someday with more experience to be able ride at 35 percent of my tire's potential.  :038:
