Many thanks for all the kind comments. They are very much appreciated. I probably sound a bit morose with my comments but I am genuinely going to miss the big bike.

The DL is a good bike, no doubting that, but the Tex remains one of the finest motorcycles I have ever owned. The Wife and myself have some great memories of it, not least the test ride and the aftermath when She went into the shop and said to the salesman " we will have a blue one please". What followed was five years of pure motorcycling joy.

I’m also interested in the Touratech seat and am off to Ballina near Limerick early June on my tex so keep me posted could always collect.

Ride safe...

Thanks for that.  The seat is there so let me know when You are to travel and perhaps we can meet up as You say.  I will be seeking half retail for it as it is still in good condition. It is the one with the breathable covering.

Not at all sad to learn you are selling the Triumph, because your reasons for doing so are sound.

But I, too, would be VERY sad to see you leave the forum.  Stick around, please.

Bit late to join the pack, but I'm with everyone: you presence here will be missed.

Since I always have a musical reference at hand, here's mine to you:

Ride safe and keep on enjoying!

Will do for a while Dick. I suppose I have a bit to offer with regard to the 1st generation models.

Thanks Nik. Never too late  :002: Thanks for the music too although I would be more of a decrepit Stones fan  :001:

Best of luck with the new 1200. You got it yet ?

Not yet! Expected in May (the dealer still doesn't know when).
Not that impatient though, since I'll have to remove every mod from my current '14 (and I don't have much time in my hands to work on the bike).
Of course I'll report in much details here to the ones wondering what difference it makes (especially regarding the weight at speed and stationary).

As for the music, it was mostly the title and lyrics that rang a bell when I thought about your (many) contributions here ;-)
