I use the SW Motech one.
It mounts same way as the triumph handlebar type but in my opinion a tiny bit higher.
This was extremely important for me as i use a small givi lock ring tank bag.
I can still just about see the zumo 595 over my tank bag and can also see my dash just fine.

Ive almost finished installing my TomTom 450 and i have used the triumph mirror mount and made it fit the upper screen bar so i still have my tank bag function and still see my full clocks..will post pics later in week if anyone is interested..
Why do we die just as we are getting the hang of it

No good for the Gen3 as it doesnt have a screen bar like the older ones.
This is the reason of the post initially as our Gen 3 bikes have different screen mounts and can't use the high position same as previous models.

I think Pailton was trying to describe the set up I used on another bike. its for a Zumo 550

A RAM ball mount on a clutch/brake lever bracket. Photos attached showing the position on the bars and the components. It feels a bit in your face at first but it works.

I mounted on the brake because I'm right handed and it's easier to programme at a standstill. Some prefere the left clutch side so that they can use it left handed on the move.
Older than the internet.

I am trying a high central mount on the dash binnacle too with a Ram Mount ball. I am using the Tom Tom Rider 550 which comes with a Ram Mount arm. It is only a 4" screen  so there is room and it is a lightweight unit. This solution will need a longer Ram Mount arm for the larger Sat Nav units and I'm not sure that it will work that well with the longer arm and extra weight? Apologies for no pics with the sat nav fitted, I left it at home! I offered up my car nav which is the same size and it clears. Before I say this is a perfect solution I have a decent trip coming up in a few weeks, that will give it a good workout and highlight any issues. I want to see if the ball joints work loose and the Nav unit ends up tapping off the screen etc. Sorry, I went a bit photo mad. If you try this make sure you mount the ball mount with the wider 2" edge facing the front/rear of the bike. If you mount it with the 1.7" face towards you you will set the ball too far towards the screen and risk interference with the screen and screen mechanism.

Nice job Terry.
I had offered up my ram mount to about that position too but thought it didn't clear the screen.
You've the touring screen still on your bike right? Not a shorter 1?
