Oil green or red?  Smell like hypoid oil or not?  Gear oil stinks. My leak was the grease from the drive shaft liquified.

Not sure about the colour - we're talking drops of oil mixed with road dirt - and I didn't notice a distinct smell. However it was definitely oil, not grease. I'm going to top up the bevel box and weigh how much oil is needed.

The grease turns to oil over time.  And mine leaked out around 4 year mark.
