Honda Super Cub returning to N. America :)
« on: June 14, 2018, 09:59:23 PM »
My next bike?

Looks like they did a very nice job of modernizing it. Looks good. Even has ABS as an option.

Quite like that in a nostalgic sort of way, a 50cc Cub was my first bike as a teenager. Was the bike on which I learnt that wet roads needed a little more respect than dry ones. Still have the scar  :164:

Nice little bike for wizzying around the city, looks like it's even got keyless ignition !

Note, on that website next to the picture it says "non=US model shown", this is the USA spec model.

Well, that's my motivation too. My wife gave up her V-strom last year because she wasn't riding enough to justify keeping the bike. But we could both use something like this around town and she would likely feel more comfortable about going out on her own with it also. The only time she ever rode her V-strom was if I went with her.

Ah, yes. The DOT approved model.  :038:

My first "bike" was a Honda Express 50.

I have no need for the new Super Cub, and have no idea when or where I'd ride it.      :027:

But, I'm reeeeeally contemplating buying one.     :164:

Yeah, they just did such a nice job of modernizing it. I find that the Vespa has been similarly modernized and is also attractive looking, but I would never buy one because of the dinky wheels.
