For weather protection I have the Barkbusters Blizzard handguards fixed on top of the stock triumph handguards.  Great for winter riding.

I have these too for winter riding but do swap out the handguards as it only takes 5 mins, great product. After you fit them you wonder if they can be that effective but they are. If you are a regular winter rider these perform well without looking like a mad set of muffs.
