If I am not familiar with an area I usually look out for a Protyre branch. The ones I have used have been great - they have 30 motorcycle fitting centres in the UK. Seems your nearest is 25 miles away - one in Beds another in Rugby

Morning, I used to use a guy in Finedon but he just closed, I've now found RAD motorcycles in Northampton. Top bloke with a good reputation and a great attitude. I had a T31 fitted there last weekend, no dramas, simple job, decent price. I'm in Irthlingborough, didn't realise there was another Explorer rider so close. I'm not a fan of the workshop at Triumph wellingborough, so travel to a brilliant guy in Ilkeston for services etc, good excuse for a ride out.

I can thoroughly recommend buying some tyre levers and rim protectors and learning to do the job yourself.
I've seen some appalling cock-ups made by 'professional' fitters; tyres the wrong way round, a tool left inside the tyre, damaged rim, etc.
It is perfectly adequate to balance the wheel statically. Dynamic balance is only really applicable to wider (car) wheels.
