Well done.
I'm going the other way.  It was with a BMW R1200R, now it's solo.

Jokes aside, well done mate! Now that's the kind of trip I'd love to complete (I've only traveled NSW for now and by car at that)!
Some future day maybe...

Just some questions - this looks like a brilliant trip - did you go off road ( off metalled roads ) - do you have to ? - for a non Australian how easy would it be to do it ? how much planning for accomodation did you do ?

Plenty of Knarly off road stuff... The Tannimi Track was the hardest, longest, fastest, Off Road 4WD hwy.. Corregations that would empty your mouth of teeth. Sharp stones that shred tyres, and they did on the Multli... the Bloomfield Track is Iconic in Aus from Cooktown to Daintree... but we did in the wet.. just after it stopped raining. Steep Climbs in the greasy mud, then down again... water crossings etc..  some deep pea sized sandy rubble on some other tracks, downed the KTM and bogged the Indian down to the exhausts... Bull Dust Ponds (as I call them, can't see 'em till your in it)
Accom was pre prepared except Darwin.. no probs there. Nothing booked past Burra SA (-4 deg) a cold front came thru overnight... plenty accom available across the south east... and yes it was still snowing over the alps in VIC/NSW .
