Well seems I was well and truly wrong earlier judging from that article. Molokai like Triumph are getting much more commercially savvy.

Wonder if this will take up the USB socket under the seat?  :084:

Well, this would save a mounting bracket and satnav on the bars, I guess. You could use your phone in you pocket with the route set and it emulated in small-time on the TFT screen. A lot of new cars do this- Landrover and Ford from my experience- they have an 'abridged' version of the main sat-nav in the middle of the speedo/tacho.
a lot of us in the UK now use WAZE as a satnav, because its pre-emptive. It would be great if it would work on the XCA!

Battery-life is the only issue, but power-banks are fairly portable and cheap.

I would of been with you on that one, I am very suprised it will be backward compatible, fair play to Triumph (assuming their is no price gouging). What value would everyone put on such a feature? Considering a new Tom Tom 550 full featured wireless Sat Nav is $399/€399 I would be reluctant to spend more than €150 ish on this. You are not actually getting an awful lot, but I do like it.

Looks good, but the turn directions look awfully small on that screen.

Oh great!
More computer complexity!
Exactly what Triumph proved being incompetent!

I had a phone call from my dealer yesterday saying something is coming in spring time they hope, its apparently going to be a bluetooth system that uses Google maps from your phone and its linked to the TFT that can be upgraded so it has it on there as I noticed on the Scrambler photo's when it had the street name etc.

I'm sure once it gets nearer the time it will be confirmed a bit more but this was just a heads up as I moaned quite a bit when I got my Tiger XCA about sat nav etc.
