Spotted at the NEC yesterday
« on: November 21, 2018, 10:09:55 PM »
Went to the Motorcycle Live Show at the NEC yesterday (Tuesday) and haven't seen anything in the press about these but look at the spec of this Tiger 1200 XRT Expedition machine with the electrically adjusted seats. What do you think of that then?? Must be exclusive to this model!!

Seems like the answer to a question nobody's asked.  I'm all for improving the breed, but don't need more motors and gadgets.

Unless, of course, it is an electric massage seat ...  Now that might be useful on a long ride ...

There is a clue there as to what this model is:

* Fitting charges may apply

Probably a dealer putting it together.

I found the show very disappointing. I thought there'd be more places selling a wider range of interesting kit. I was hoping to find more in the way of overl anding equipment and such. It was helmets boots and clothes mostly. I can get stuff like Oxford any day of the week. I looked at the Triumph stand and quizzed a couple of the guys there about what looked like new old stock on the 800 and 1200. They really didn't seem to know much at all.

Yes, I think they mean screen. This is just a bunch of dealer fit accessories.

I was there yesterday and sat on that bike, very nice and expensive, I didn't like the large tank bag but that's down to my personal choice, certainly a good package to go on an adventure.  :062:

Got one to make up the last of the £900 voucher when I got mine last month.
Cheap one also on ebay if anyone is looking (not me!)

Was there myself yesterday. Thoroughly enjoyed it and indeed in the few hours that I had I didn't get to see it all.  There were some lovely old prototypes of BSA's and Triumphs that had never seen production. Must have been pulled out of a museum somewhere but great to see in the flesh. Good show overall.
