Givi panniers?
« on: November 30, 2018, 11:18:30 AM »
Picked up the Givi pannier rack (Givi PL6413CAM) at a good price so on the lookout for the boxes.
Anyone got before I but new?

I know the Triumph ones don't fit due to the center tabs as below:

GIVI PL6413CAM is for the Tiger 800!
For the Tiger Explorer/1200 you need PL6408CAM.
I installed PL6408CAM on my 2018 XRx last week.
Modified with the Triumph CAMlocks so I can fit the OEM Expedition panniers. With thanks for Budweiserfrogie's "How to" post  :460:

My only worry with PL6408CAM rack is the position of the crossbar which is in the lower area of the exhaust outlet with the shorter OEM can of 2018 XRx.
Not done any test yet but I do have some heat shielding tape lying around if needed.

My suggestion is to go for the GIVI OBKN37 panniers, in black. The plain alu panniers will stain/scratch very easily.
This set L/R GIVI panniers with same coded keys/locks will be less expensive than the OEM Expedition panniers even when combined with the excellent GIVI T506 inner bags.
And if needed you can get the topbox GIVI OBKN42 or OBKN58 with a SRA6403  alu topbox rack which will bolt on the Explorer/1200 within 2 minutes.
A set of 3 similar coded key locks SL103 is needed if you want to have only a single key for all three boxes.
