Off road
« on: January 03, 2019, 12:41:03 AM »
Well took the bike on a fire access road this weekend. Most of it was hard pack but other sections were steep grades with very loose rocks and dirt. Going uphill was fairly easy but down hill holy crap. I was limited by my tires but still...things I learned. Need new springs and valves for the front and a toggle switch to turn off abs and tc.  Flat roads and sand I’m fine with.  I bought a bigger horn which I mounted in the stock location. I’m not sure where it was knocked off.  Think when the dealer refilled the coolant they did not get all the air out. One of the stops the overflow gassed out. Refilled with water and never had an issue again.

Heavy bike. Even the Ktm 1290 I was with was having some issues.  Was fun flying up hill past a few klrs who got stuck. Speed is your times.

Clearly, you are a braver man than I. Well done.  :001:
