Color codes
« on: January 03, 2019, 11:48:43 AM »
And Again I have a question. Since I bought myself a 2018 xca Marine color I’m looking for the color code of this color. i search the forum but could not find any. Why I hear you say?
I bought some panniers with some metal highlights and I would like to paint those metal highlights the same color as the rest of the bike (tank and covers). But sofar no luck in finding the correct code. My dealer in Eibergen, the Netherlands, is looking for this code aswell after I asked them.
Maybe somebody in here knows the color codes of the tiger.

Will you be painting the accent pieces yourself?
If you have access to a body shop, they should be able to match. A problem may be the mat clear coat matching.
I work with body shops on a regular basis, most of which would mix me some paint and would not even charge me for a small quantity.
Paint instructions can be complex with some colors. Color of primer and/or base coats will effect the end result.
The correct application any good body shop should have no problem matching.

BTW
That mat green is my favorite TEx color.

Hi Fred,
No, I’m not painting it myself. My son in law is a carpainter and with my previous bike, aan FJR 1300 Ocean Depth, he painted also Some parts. But for that color, which is also a multi layer painting I could get the code.

And yes you’re absolutly right about the color. It is a beauty.
