I do know that is at least one M/Y 2014 owner who reported that he had the issue, but to the best of my knowledge, the reported VIN range has not been changed.

I have a 2012 TEX within the possible affected VIN range. Vin 539-something.

I just did the 36000 km valve check/adjustment. I could not see any unusua wear, and the engine is not noisy.  I do not know if any warranty work has been done, but I doubt it since I have owned the bike from 10 000 km up to 36 000.

I doubt my bike is affected, as I said, it does not make unusual noise.

Crossing my fingers.

Good Day all
I have recently purchased a lovely 2015/16 1200 Tiger. Its has a mere 4600km on the clock. I too have come to realise it is very noisy. With such low mileage this seems to be of some concern???

The engines on these bikes are very noisy. When I say my bike is not noisy, I mean it is not unusually noise for a TEX  :-)

But yeah, a lot of engine noise. Mine has been the same the whole time, maybe a bit less noise from the cams after I adjusted the timing and set the valve clearances.

I purchased a 2013 Tex with 2k miles last Fall and recently used this posting to submit Goodwill warranty claim through my local dealer. Triumph UK accepted and I hope to have it back this week. Thanks for the great detail- made the difference.

I was warned by a Triumph dealer abroad during a tyre change that my 2012 was not yet replaced with a new head. When I asked how he could see that he noted that all replaced heads are marked with a dot.
Not sure exactly where but might put some owners on track whether they have the original or replaced one  :016:
Mine is not noisy enough to bother changing at 48.000 km.

No issues either; did it for resale possibilities down the road.
