Just a bit of an update on this topic. I've had the same problems and ended up taking it to my local Triumph dealer. They told me the problem is with the gear selection sensor. Triumph agreed to change it under the warranty and all seems to be OK now.  :152: :152: :152: :152:

Had the exact same problem, tried disconnecting the  battery, fault went away for a few miles. In the end took it to local Triumph dealer who said that it was the gear indicator sensor, they replaced it under guarantee never had a problem since.
