Keep in mind, also, that the smaller diameter 17" front wheel also shortens the already shorter trail, quickening the steering response even more. And with wider ADV handlebars a TEX would be that much more sensitive to steering inputs.
yes this has also crossed my mind...I can get my hands on a trophy rim for not a lot...With regards to the center line being off then if i carried out the wheel only option i will acquire longer studs and a alloy spacer to bring the rim into center tolerances. Being a hobbyist engineer with milling machine and lathes i shudder at the thought of anyone using washers to space out a wheel on cars or bikes.
