If you come to them for a problem they might have to solve at their own expense, it's "I don't see the problem".
If you come to them for a problem they might charge you for solving, it's "yeah, this needs to be fixed urgently".

You were lucky, my Triumph dealer charged me to test ride it when I complained of the noise back in early 2018, they said it was normal too! A Bridgestone A41 solved the problem but even they start to make a little noise as they wear.

yeah, I guessI got away lightly, no charge for the test ride, they were on it for about an hour and I got them to go out 2 up because I said it was worse 2 up, the mechanic weighed about as much as my leg!
time to start using ear plugs.
