Tires are wrong size?
« on: April 14, 2019, 12:55:29 AM »
So I was going to order some new Anakee Adventures, but the websites I look on tell me the tires don't fit my Tex.  Tires on my bike are 120/70R-19 and 170/60R-17, website says they should be 110/80-19 and 150/70-17.  Which is correct? I can't imagine Triumph put the wrong tires on my bike.   :084:

110/80 R19 and 150/70 R17 are correct sizes for the first generation TEX. That's what my 2013 TEX uses.

I went on Rocky Mountain and they had the right sizes listed so I ordered from them.  I guess I jumped the gun on posting.  Oh well.  Thanks for the fast reply though.  Mines a 17 XcA so different size.

If I recall correctly, the tire sizes on the Explorer were sized up to 120/70R-19 and 170/60R-17 on the 2017 US models. Older models use the smaller tire sizes. Someone correct me if I'm wrong on the model year...

You beat me to the post, Jake!

You are correct... I picked up a set of  late model wheels and put the larger tires on my 2014...its a very worthy improvement .
