Explorer meet
« on: May 23, 2019, 11:07:28 AM »
Hi all
Any one fancy a Tex meet in September (plenty of time to make time  :001:)
Let's say Yorkshire area, I could look for locations, camping or Bunkhouses or B&B, you get the idea, Friday till Sunday with a ride out on Sat.
No bands or overdoing it just a site with drink or eat what you brung, unless you posh it.
Just a thought to get like minded Tex riders together to discuss which colour is best  :008:

I can get a location up in Northumberland but I know that could be too far for some, not on these machines though.

I could also look into Portaloo rental if a field is preferred with a fire pit.
Dates are always hard as we all have plans/work or other comitments but i was thinking first or second weekend.

let's see if we get enough intrest..

Cheers BIG BILL

If you are looking at 3rd or 4th week then I could be tempted.

I could make one. Might even bring the current wife on her 800.

Current wife, is there a chance it could change between now and September  :084: :008: :008: :008:

My "current wife also on an 800" says we might come along for a ride out but we don't do under canvas  :001:

No canvas for me either but happy to come for the day and might even B&B if there's a pub nearby that does it  :028:

Current wife is just the phrase I use to remind her how lucky she is and how temprary the arrangement could be. Ha ha.
I'd camp any opportunity I get. It's about being comfortable. Which means NOT sleeping on the ground.

Looking into it I could get a Field for free with no facility's but fires or a communal camp fire and sing song (ginggang ghoulie) :047:
I could also arrange a Porta loo at a cost to those coming, not much maybe around £5-10 a head or arse however you look at it.

This is just a thought and trying to get a few like minded Tex/Tiger riders together for a meet.

A one or two nighter is my goal and mainly camping but I can also look at accommodation up here as there are loads from Premier Inns to B&B Luxury to Tramping  :008:
Then a guided (by myself) run around this Beautiful county and great roads. (could easily incorporate Kielder Forrest 12 mile road)
I thought I may have had a few more respond but heyho!!! you never know  :156:
