For my purposes I'd rather have that setup cos I just don't feel the need to move the screen from its highest position. I'm even contemplating the value of disconnecting the windscreen motor and bolting up the pivots.
If you are prepared to go to that trouble, then I suggest you make a mounting plate that goes on the plastic binnacle, as a few have done, including me:  https://www.tiger-explorer.com/index.php/topic,17051.msg207251.html#msg207251
Leave the screen electrics as is.  You may come to use it occasionally, as I do.

On my TEx I did use the RAM mount fastened to the screen mounting bar.  It worked well.
My T1200 solution works well enough for me.  Same GPS positioning, right above the instrument cluster.

Hi

I know there is a great deal of info on alternatives but did anyone come up with a solution for the vibration on the Evotech Performance mount?

Hi, there are varied opinions on how intrusive the wobbling with the Evotech mount is, I don't think anyone has completely eliminated it, more that some have much less of an issue with it than others. I'm not keen on it myself... but there are several on here who are (the mount not the wobbling).

You can jam something under it and not play with the screen height afterwards. There is no way to competeyely eliminate it as the screen mounting points themselves do vibrate. It's an inherent problem.

I am accustomed to it now - it's not a big deal all I do is glance on the map every once in a while; I don't watch it like TV...
