Oil pressure warning
« on: August 18, 2019, 04:00:42 PM »
Oh dear I have a problem. Bike starts no problem and then within a second or two the oil pressure warning and light come on.
Maybe the oil sensor switch as the oil light did flicker when hot on occasion,  it can’t risk it.
Bike being picked up tomorrow by mechanic to look into it.

Just wanted to share and will update as to the fix

Good luck - hope it’s the sensor

Thanks. If not I guess it will be the pump. Oil levels are fine and no leaking.

Did you change the oil/filter recently?

yes the garage changed it but I did about 50 miles since with no issue. Then next morning, it showed up on starting the bike

would that not have shown up straight away if they hadn't put in enough oil?

The oil level indicator shows the same as it always has, so I don't think it is lack of oil. Which would be a simple fix!
