Is it worth going to motorcycle live to buy jacket/trouser set?
« on: September 01, 2019, 05:37:00 PM »
I wondered if anyone has experience of doing this?
What I don't know is whether the range of gear is large enough, and most importantly what kind of discounts can you get to make it worth the journey/entry cost etc?
Thanks in advance :001:

What you looking for?
If it’s Ruka then you’ll not beat Jenks for price.

Absolutely agree with this. I went on to get helmets, intercoms and gloves off him at fantastic prices because that's the kind of man he is.

Salisbury Tiger youre probably better of going to Infinity in Farnbrough or Southampton and seeing what you want, even trying Rukka on to get the right size  :164: :164:

Infinity usually advertise the show deals on line as well.

I last went to the show 4 years ago and that was my first visit in 6 years. Nothing particularly cheap apart from the crap that no one wants. Walked round the show in an hour and a half and went home

Also worth considering is Motolegends at Guildford, they only deal in quality kit and price match I believe. Available on line or visit the shop.

My experience is that any sort of discounts on gear is pretty well non-existent - helmets maybe, but gear - no.

To be perfectly honest, no. The days of good discounts on gear at the show seem to be in the past. I used to go to look at and buy some gear, but not anymore. Now I go to look at the bikes and the various tour operators for inspiration.

:0461: The show is good for window shopping & trying on for size. Then buy online and get it delivered. Easier and often the same price.

thanks for the replies, I'm thinking of a day trip to sports bike shop in Milton Keynes - their range looks large and prices look good.
Anyone have any experience of that store?

Never visited a store, but top service by mail order (returns etc) and so I'd recommend.
