Newbie says hello
« on: September 11, 2019, 04:17:24 PM »
Hello world,

I'm a owner of a tex since a year and a half. Before that I drove other brands starting with a suzuki over to a Kawazaki, yama and several Harleys.
I live in Belgium, thats in europe somewhere on the globe they told me.
For the moment I have some issues with my precious, but its being taken care of by my dealer. (clutch gone and gearbox ruined)
I wanna pardon for my english, I make many, many mistakes.
Thats it 4 the moment. Hope to get info and fun stuff around here.

Welcome too the forum. Your English is fine.
I find Belgian beers a bit too floral.  But maybe I just haven't tried enough of them?   :002:

Until last year I made my own beers. But after several years it was enough. Here its a hype to make your own beer. That was my qeue to stop brewing and to much is to much. The fun is over if you have to drink to get the kegs and bottles empty. Even with help :031:
Now I just gonna wait until de bike is fixed. Seems the clutch is back oke, but there are some teeth missing in the gearbox. Parts are ordered. Shame that it will be to late to take the bike with me to Austria. Instead of a week riding in the Alpes it will be walking in the Alpes. Hope my wife isnt expecting  sound of music stuff.

I do make my own beer (and cider).  But from kits.  Coopers (our local brewery) makes beer kits they export, just a can of brew and packet of yeast, which are easy to use and taste pretty good.  You can possibly buy them in Belgium.
I've been using champagne (sorry Frenchies, "sparkling wine") bottles which have resealable tops.  Though some of the seals have failed.  Totally flat beer is awful!

I have a friend who is seriously into making his own beer, right down to grinding & roasting his own barley and growing his own hops.  -He does make good stuff.
I'm not that serious.
I drink wine and port also, but I'm not going to start trying to make those.

You could take the Sound Of Music soundtrack on your phones to listen to while hiking.   :002:

Do a deer, a female deer, re a drop of golden sun....  Now I've got it stuck in my head.  Damn.

There are so many so different beers in Belgium!
There's no such things as not liking Belgian beers ;-)

Walking in the Alps is simply astonishing. You'll have this cornering itch when you'll drive on those incredible roads, but hiking in silence and nature really makes you feel real. Enjoy!
