Turkish Made Brake Rotors
« on: September 17, 2019, 12:42:32 AM »
G'Day guys, any of you used these front brake rotors from SFS Brake Moto in Turkey? I used a rear rotor on a recent 16k klms trip overland from SE Asia to Pakistan and it performed perfectly in extremely brutal conditions. Curious if anyone has experience with their fronts?

Cheers.

Did it say "Made in Turkey" on the packaging?

Glad they worked well for you.

Had this on my bike for about 1 000km. I did this as a test to see if I could solve the terrible brake shudder I have on the front under braking. (that issues has been discussed in the forum also)   I was able to get rid of the shudder under braking.
However, the size of these appear for rear only at 5.0mm. Front should be 4.5mm. That extra 0.5mm caused the front brake to bind and drag the whole time.

Were you using OEM pads mate? There is more than .5mm of travel in the caliper pistons so I dont know why it would have dragged?

I replaced pads and rotors all new at the same time. Trust me it dragged.
