Trip advice
on: September 22, 2019, 08:33:09 AM
I am heading to Spain & Portugal this Tuesday on a 2 week trip on my 2019 XRT, coming from Tiger Sports I now no longer have to pack chain oil👍 I never took engine oil on any previous trips as my Sports never used oil between services, first service has been completed and I would like to know should I bring engine oil?

Only issue I have had to date was a minor oil weep from the driveshaft which has been sorted by the dealer.

No.

Have done several Euro tours and never even considered taking oil, nor have I (or any friends with me) needed it.

:0461: and if necessary you can buy oil - maybe not your favourite brand but just the right spec to use as a top up.

And in a pinch, you can top up with pretty much any oil (synthetic or regular).

Yep - I agree - had loads of Triumphs - did loads of miles on them - as a precaution I used to carry 500ml of oil - never used it !!! My bikes never used any oil between services. I keep it topped up and regularly serviced.

Take some cable ties - a few basic tools - check it over properly before setting off - especially the tyres. Give everything a quick squirt of WD40 before you go but generally a very relaible bike.
Have a great time  :002:

I loaned a guy a hamburger once, but when I tried to return it the next day, it was not in its original condition.   :004:
