Agree with Mark and the Captain !!
Am right in the middle of doing another valve check and adjustment. I torqued them correctly when I did them 20k miles ago but everyone needed a little crack open - seemed alot more than 10mn so can only guess they get hot and tighten a bit.

For what its worth I aslo phoned Lings Triumph service centre  and emailed Triumph themselves today - the valve clearances for a Gen1 engine are inlet -0.1-0.15mm with exhaust being 0.275-0.325.
