Torque Settings for Brake Pad Pins and Caliper Bolts
« on: October 12, 2019, 05:29:48 PM »
I'm changing brake pads right now and need to confirm torque settings. I have a 2019 XCA and can't find torques for caliper bolts or pad pins, can someone please tell me what they are? I see some for the Gen 1 bikes but have to make sure they haven't changed. Am I safe to assume they are the same as the 2016 Trophy I had (Pad Pins = 18 Nm and Caliper Bolts = 40 Nm)? It all looks very similar so I am assuming they are the same torque specs...anyone?

Thank you  :031:

On my Gen-2 torque’s are as follows:

Front Caliper Bolts 50Nm (37 ft/lb)
Front Brake Pad Retaining Pins 18Nm (13 ft/lb)
Rear Brake Pad Retaining Pins 17Nm (12.5 ft/lb)
Rear Caliper Bolts 40Nm (29.5 ft/lb)

Given the Gen-3 has the same brakes as the Gen-2, then I would imagine they are the same torques.
