Slieve Bloom and Mount Leinster
« on: November 13, 2019, 10:03:03 AM »
Took a spin out Sunday to head for Slieve Bloom and Mount Leinster. The day hovered between 2 and 4 Deg Centigrade all day (35-39 Deg F), I was glad of my heated vest. There was a lot of low lying fog and mist which when up at the higher levels was like being in a plane above the clouds. There's certain stuff you only see in the winter and I do enjoy biking on a crisp winters day (as long as there is no ice)! These areas are not extensive but great as a destination focal point. A cafe in Bunclody provides warming soup and coffee which was really needed.
