Not the usual photo - extreme or unusual weather photo thread?
« on: January 12, 2020, 06:51:29 PM »
I was winter camping in Cloonlara, Co Longford, Ireland last night with a small group of ten. It was a filthy day riding out in heavy rain which luckily cleared in time for tent pitching. We were greeted to a spectacular evening sky which was reward to the trip.

This thread for unusual, out of the ordinary or "not normal" pictures rather than "this is a lovely backdrop"!

Does this count as extreme weather?

or this?

this one is the same scene, without the Denalis on

I any extreme weather pattern pictures, sadly

and I am not sure what constitutes as an "unusual picture" so, apologies if these don't really fit the bill  :821:

October 2009 during thunderstorm in South Africa on dirt road.
Look closely and you can spot 3 bikes. That is me in front of my son and a friend. My wife refused to ride during the storm and took the picture following us in a Toyota 4x4

Great pics all, that's the idea, this thread going nicely. Just got to be your (or your groups) pics and not someone else's off a website.

I had to dismount and take cover behind a wall when this lot came down. A sudden thunder and lighting storm that came out of nowhere, followed by hailstones. I'd taken my gloves off to film it and the hailstones hurt like hell.  :008:
