New Generation 4 Tiger 1200
on: February 14, 2020, 04:05:25 PM
Today the German magazine "Motorrad" shows pictures of a new Tiger 1200. Again it will be with a shaft-drive, but different from the "old" one - more slim. They do not tell us about release-date.

I've seen the photos and really don't like the look of it. Looks like it took its New Year diet too far!

I just looked at the same magazine (online) and I agree, not a fan! It does look "more petite" and I would bet they removed even MORE fuel capacity :230:! I would still need to see the final product, up close and personal, but from the looks of it, I will not be replacing my XCA with a new Tiger when the time comes.

Definitely looks all new, like the 900’s big brother. I assume the adjustable pegs are just for development; if production intent, could be a nice feature. Personally feel it could look good. Definitely looks like they have taken the weight reduction requests to heart.
Cheers, Ian

Bruce, my hope and dream is that they remake the Trophy...that was an amazing bike with lots of mechanical issues! If they brought that back in the next 5 years I would seriously consider that one, again! Probably very wishful thinking but I am allowed to wish!

I don't know why, but I have a feeling I will never, ever be able to pay off my motorcycle loan... I will be in perpetual debt for that company...  :232:  :157:

Then before I bought my Tiger I went to look into a GSA and when I saw what that would set me back... :127:
