Homemade Sat Nav Mount
« on: June 28, 2020, 07:11:00 PM »
I wanted to share my fabulous homemade satnav mount with you guys, this is a truly rock solid solution (so far). It's made from 3mm steel sheet metal cuz it's what I had and would be able to weld in. I hade to cut off the two plastic tabs underneath the plastic hood to use the holes in the cockpit frame as mounting points. A bucket load of trials and errors later it came out really nice  :046:

Much cleaner and discrete than some of the other GPS mounts I've seen. I liked how it's attached under the hood piece, nice work.

Excellent work and indeed seems a better / even more fixed way of attaching.
And looks clean.  :046:

Is it purely a trial and error product, or do you have technical drawings to match?

Cheers! Xtof

Thanks :001: It’s mostly trial and error but I can try to make some sort of drawing 👍 (warning, it won’t be pretty haha)
