I will wait for the reply. I am afraid that the welding will break again :155:

Add a web or 2. It might not look tidy but it’ll get you through your trip

I think that the bracket is an alloy concocsion that will not be easy to weld. There are older postings on this.

They are easy to weld mate. Have done it twice, both times with oxy. Once in the south of Laos and another time in the northeast of India. Just as strong as a new one...and considerably cheaper.

Some gen 1’s were fitted with a defective cockpit mounting bracket, Triumph told me it was a batch with a flaw in the casting. The replacement for mine, fitted under warranty, was identical to look at but without the weak flaw in it. They are indeed alloy. They were only replaced if a customer contacted a dealer with the problem, there wasn’t a recall. Mine shattered when a pheasant in flight impacted on the headlamps...... I may have accidentally told Triumph it was caused by riding over a small pothole in the road...   :164:

I just got mine welded last month.  Looked exactly like yours does now.  A lot cheaper than ordering one for sure.
