Hello, i have used in the past several plugs....ald left them in the tyre along the way.
For thousends of km .
In my humble opinion it is not unsave unless you ride on a circuit or race or somthing.
If you have a normal driving style, even a bit sporty, it can do no harm.
I myself do not buy an new tyre when it needs plugged.

Plugged a rear in Jammu and rode from there to Srinagar Kashmir in India, thru Ladakh, down thru Manali to Armritsar across to Pakistan, thru to Iran. So roughly 8000 klms. Still have the tyre on. Oh and that was 2u and fully loaded.
