Back Again???
on: September 20, 2020, 08:56:20 AM
I had a 2013 Explorer 1200 and really liked it put 32,000 miles on it then got worried about the engine noise. Traded it in on a Harley ultra classic in 2016. I really miss the tiger and the ability to get off the paved roads I am currently looking at a new left over 2018 XCX  Or a used 2017 XCX
1 Did they fix the engine noise issues?
2 How reliable are the 2018s
3 Can someone explain to me the gen1, 2, and 3

Well I’ve had loved the Gen 1 XC and traded that in for the 18/19 xcx. The original bike was cracking but the current is just a bit better at everything and I love mine.

Just done 900 miles camping trip around Scotland on a mix of single track, forest trails and lots of A roads and motorway miles getting there and it was perfect. It’s handles better, is and ‘feels’ lighter, comfortable and is smooth and like the starship enterprise on motorways and A roads.

I think the 18 model is a better choice than the 17 from looking at the specs at the time myself and I’m sure there are mega deals about given there’s a new one on the way..
