Don't push the pistons back in, with or without the pads fitted, until you have cleaned the caliper, paying attention to the pistons. Remove the caliper and pads and clean it all up with a toothbrush and some soapy water. Pushing the pistons back in before a clean is a good way to score the pistons and/or damage the seals, especially if they are currently jammed up with something. Have a torque wrench handy for the caliper bolts for reassembly.

Remove calipers, & clean everything as much as you can before pushing the pistons back so you don't force dirt past the seals.

Cleaned everything. Put it all back together and still have the pads rubbing still. Bled the brakes, cleaned the piston at the master cylinder. I’m out of ideas :(

Pistons slide back into the caliper freely?  :084:

Yes. Able to push them in by hand.

With the pads out of both calipers does the wheel spin free?
It's not a wheel bearing issue is it?  :027:

Spun like it should without the pads on.

The inner seals should be pulling the pistons back in after your release the lever. With the pads in, are they just staying out after operating the brake lever? If so the inner seals could be shot. Sounds like the next step is to refurb the calipers. A seal kit is very cheap, pistons if required are a little dearer.

Everything looks like it should. Even a more experienced friend looked at it, and couldn’t figure it out. I’m unfortunately going to call the dealer in a little bit.

I wonder has one of the discs taken a hit and bent the mounts and tilted it ever so slightly, good luck at the dealer.

The tire took a hit and that’s when all of this started. One dealer can’t look at it for 11 days. Trying to get in touch with the other now.
