There is a lot of this about and there is going to be a lot more. COVID wages payments help businesses to an extent but wages are just part of a business expense. A dealer with depressed sales and servicing just isn't generating enough cash to pay all the other bills, electricity, gas, IT support and subscriptions, accountancy services, premises rent and insurance and so on. This is such a bad time for small businesses. It is much cheaper in the long run to go bankrupt and walk away rather than rack up long term debt.
