Did they move the switch for heated seats on gen 2

... because I hope so. What made them think that putting the switch for the gen 1 heated seat somewhere in the scaffolding, around the left knee, was a good idea?
Despite the engine heat oft commented on here, in the UK it's about the time of year to consider heated parts. So having a heated seat, I want to use it.
Easy enough to turn on as I tend to do it while stationary before setting off. Get going, posterior warming up nicely, would be great to be able to switch it off easily too. Instead I am scrabbling about with my gloved fingers trying to find the recess and the switch
Tell me it's controlled from the handlebars after gen 1?

I've done nearly 40k miles over four & half years and still can't find that damn switch without fumbling around!

Rider seat is controlled from the handlebars on gen3.  Pillion switch is on the frame left, not too hard to get to.

As above - nope Gen 2 in the frame and I can never find it either.  Did think about moving it or just remoting it to another switch on bars (I have only ever used the low setting) but have never got around to it.

Gen 1 - I don't have a heated pillion seat as I rarely have a pillion so I wired the switch for the front seat to the place where the pillion switch goes.

Very easy to locate on the move and less faffing about during install too.

No need for any of this. 

I find that three pints of Theakstons the evening before riding and then wearing a one-piece totally watertight Aerostich suit keeps my man buns strangely tropical.
