I'm glad to see that.  I won't be 73 until December.  I thought I might have been the oldest guy on this forum.  (Not sure how old Jon is.)
I have lots of experience, but my poor memory means I occasionally repeat mistakes.   :002:

Some old buggers just love to take threads off topic don't they!
However, I'll be coming back to this thread and others like it, for info when my noisy Anakee 3's are had it.

Nobody knows how old I am for sure. The people that raised me, found me buried one morning in a crater on their farm after a night filled with meteor showers...

I do like the look of these and will probably give them a go once I’m through the oem tyres...

I just returned from a ride to Tennessee and a portion of the Trans American Trail. The tires worked well in the dry somewhat rocky jeep unimproved trails. I rode a total of 1686 miles (2713 km) which included about 400 miles (643 km) of trails and paved roads on the TAT.

Tire mileage so far is 7682 (12,362 km)and the tread depth is Front = 6/32 or 4.76 mm. Rear = 8/32 or 6.35 mm.

They seem to be wearing nicely.

Hi Folks, just ensure you adhere to the speed rating on these tyres. This is what happens when you do not....... the tyre shredded after 15 min of high speed on tarmac. Speeds well in excess of 200kmh. Tyre is rated to 188kmh. This is not my bike, but my mates KTM 1290. He is a goon...  :005:

Did it actually FAIL that way - as in the whole piece came of at once?  Or did it shed in chunks, allowing him some time to slow? Was he able to keep it upright, or is there damage to the bike not seen in the pics?  (And I hope he undamaged, in either case.)

What kind of surface was he making that speed on?
