You can do as I mentioned and switch to off-road TSAS, lowering the rear preload, when set in your custom rider mode while the bike is in motion. I have been doing it for years. See

I can set the ABS to Off-road/On/Orr in  my rider (custom) mode menu.

Same with the TCS.

If I try to change the TSAS in my custom rider mode or via the "Off road" rider mode, I have to be stopped.

Maybe this changed with the Gen 3?

No, you still have to stand still in order to switch to offroad mode.

So the key to avoiding the need to stop to change the riding mode is not the TSAS setting, but whether or not you change the ABS or TC settings.

Thank you very much, XcaTel.

To my knowledge (but it's been a couple of months since I used it), those are not available while driving either.
And completely setting ABS off, triggers a completely stupid and irritating necessity to always acknowledge the fact you turned it off, every time you start the engine.

Been looking at Xcatel's vid. I was not on the same page, bit offtopic.
He's right indeed, my irritation is with the offroad mode also including ABS off...

Just ingore my posts :138:
