Okay sorted now. Took EBC pads out (I did not fit shims) and they were glazed on only about 50 percent of friction material. The disc was still getting warm with no brake applied and I could only spin wheel less than full turn. Today fitted Nissin brake pads and its perfect, wheel spins about 2 turns and rear disc stays cold. Did not want to take a chance with EBC pads as away in few weeks time.

I've used Brembo aftermarket rear pads on my gen2 - better than OEM and no issues

Power is how hard you hit the wall...
Torque is how far you take the wall with you !

If I soon the wheel it does almost over revolution but is not free spinning. I'll check disc temp. again shortly and let you know.  :187:

Just to kick the can down the road a bit further. Dont want to start another thread.

Has anyone refitted the plastic shim that was behind the OEM Stainless Shim on the pad enclosed inside the caliper? (Picture attached) I just fitted some sintered EBS with the stainless shims and It has a slight bit of drag. WTF are the stainless shims behind the pad reputedly there for??

hmm - it's been a while.  From looking at the caliper and pads just now, it appears as though I have the pad backed by what looked like that white plastic shim you picture and then with the perforated steel shim.  So...yes, I think.  Mine are Carbone Lorraine RX3 pads.
