Currently touring Spain, and rode over the Silent Route on the A-1702 in the heart of Teruel today.

Today, my wife and I drove to Lorient, France, to see the giant u-boot bunkers of the Second World War.
Tomorrow, St Mere Eglise and the Normandië coast planned.

Last weekend the weather was perfect so I did a ride and overnight moto-camp near Flaming Gorge in Utah. My route took me through northeastern UT's high elevation forest & lakes, across secluded Wyoming ranches, past a Union Pacific railways ghost town, camped overlooking the gorge, and returned through the dry region east of the Salt Lake Valley. A great mix of windy mountain roads, dirt roads, and slab. Approximately 450 mile trip in total.

I almost ticked over to 50,000 miles on the odometer but came up 20 miles short, which means it'll happen without fanfare during my next commute to work.

I took a short trip to Chicago to see Iron Maiden on Wednesday, then down to Columbus, OH to them again tonight.

Nothing scenic or particularly interesting (although I think I spotted a white Tiger of some sort in a rest area just west of Belfontaine, OH yesterday) on the trip, but it's the longest trip I'll get this year.

Maiden still puts on the best show.   :020:
So many roads, so little time.
