Does depend on tyre and riding preference as well. Had the suspension on my Gen1 reworked by MCT Suspension specialists.  When I couldn't get it adjusted to give me the "feel" I wanted they asked what tyres and pressures I was running (Gen1 Triumph say 36/42).  When I told them it was Mich PR4's they immediately said stiff tyre, drop pressures to 33/38.  Make a huge difference although I ended up in a compromise at 35/39. I run my Gen2 at 35/40 (currently on Conti's) which works for me

I've just changed to Bridgestone A41's and for daftness thought I'd email their customer centre for a tyre pressure recommendation. It took nearly a fortnight to get a reply but a resounding 36/42 psi was the answer.
