Hi From Lancashire
on: September 16, 2021, 05:24:41 AM
Hi everyone..
My name is Simon (Speedy) and hopefully on the 24th of this month (September) I take posession of a 2017 Explorer XRx with only 6,700 miles on !
I predict that mileage will rise rapidly as I do regular long rides (just for the joy of riding)..

A couple of weeks ago (on my previous bike, a Honda CB1300) I did 455 miles in a single day with 2 mates from my home near Blackpool (But NOT too near) up and around the Keilder Forest / Moffat etc.. Motorway to Penrith and then all B roads. Some of the best roads I have ever done.
455 miles in a day is an exceptional ride (even for me), but I regularly do 150 - 200 miles on a Sunday with mates.

Anyway, I am just saying Hello and no doubt I shall be on here regularly.

Howya Speedy and :401:. Post pics when you get the wheels. The free Photo Gallery feature of the forum is probably the easiest way to add pictures at any stage.

Thank you both for the welcome..
I was heavily influenced by my mate who has owned his explorer for over 2 years..
He regularly says its the best bike he has owned (and he has had sooo many bikes)..

Last Friday I finally became the owner of a 2017 TEX XRx
My previous bike was a 2010 Honda CB1300 (naked)
On the 15 mile ride back from the Honda dealership where I bought my Triumph from, I knew I had made the right decision..
The photos show the actual pick-up..
I have removed the Top Box and Panniers and the Pannier rails..
I dont intend to use those. (They will be for sale very soon, at a bargain price)..

I often go to bike meet ups and when I talk to Triumph owners of various models the usual answers to my question of
"What do you think of your bike"? is " I love it... I am on my 3rd (or 4th) Triumph..
In fact I have yet to come accross a Triumph owner wh says "It's crap mate.. Steer well clear"
