    I had a V50 for a time in the early 80's. That was a lovely bike, nothing outstanding just pretty.

    That logic I can't follow. It is a matter of which gear you are in. If you are in 6th going 30 mph it could be difficult for CC to accelerate out of the torque valley, in 3rd or 4th it is a different story.
    My Tiger 1200 XRt is similar if revs are too low. My BMW K1600 is a different story, that thing pulls in 6th from above idle if you want to.

    I live in a mountainous region that has four lane highways running through it, some of which have 120 kph speed limits. I seriously doubt that cruise control on a Sport would be able to hold that speed on some of the grades I ride on without downshifting, especially two up or loaded for camping or both.
