on: January 06, 2022, 11:53:34 AM
Can you  buy off the shelf braided brake hoses for a 12 plate gen 1 explorer  as cant seem to  find any online..yes I could  have them made up but that means  taking them off measuring and getting  correct  banjos etc...not a problem  but just  wondering if  anywhere do ready  made ones.....
Cheers ... :152:

I thought under the black outer the stock hoses were braided? If not try phoning Hel, Venhill, etc. Just because they don't have them listed on their websites doesn't mean they don't have a record of the dimensions & fittings needed.

I believe the stock lines are braided steel.

They are on my Gen 2.  There is a black or dark grey coating on the lines, but they look to be braided steel underneath that.

They are too thin to be rubber lines.
